Sustainability can take many forms, but here at Wheat we consider it as eliminating the use of harmful substances in our products, reducing the environmental impact of our production and ensuring safe and ethical working conditions.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is the world’s leading testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished and finished textile products through all stages of production.
At Wheat we are committed to restricting the use of harmful substances in our clothes. 95% of WHEAT’s clothing collection is Oeko-Tex certified and our goal is to soon have the entire collection 100% certified.
With our commitment to sustainability, we aim to primarily use organic cotton in our products. Organic grown cotton reduces CO2 emissions by 45% and uses 90% less water which makes it significantly better for the environment and, of course, better for our children.
WHEAT’s organic cotton comes from suppliers that are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Hand Drawn Prints
”I have always loved the charismatic Swedish artist and painter, Carl Larsson, and he is therefore a great inspiration for my designs of hand drawn signature-prints.” - Charlotte Galsgaard
Every season the design team in Denmark hand draws each of the unique signature prints + graphics you see featured on the styles. From our Footwear Collection to our Outerwear and Main Collection, each print you see is special and hand designed just for you.
